Producción de plántulas de tabaco con aplicación de extracto de canela a diferentes sustratos

Para producir plántulas sanas y vigorosas, se requieren sustratos aportan el medio físico y químico necesario para el desarrollo y los extractos vegetales actúen como un protector natural y estimulante del crecimiento, es por ello que en esta investigación se evaluó la producción de plántulas de tabaco con aplicación de extracto de canela con diferentes sustratos Para ello se evaluaron doce (12) tratamientos con 5 repeticiones, donde los factores evaluados fueron tipo de sustrato: compost, tierra de huerto y la combinación de ella y extracto a base de canela (Cinnamomum verum) en tres concentraciones (0,1; 0,5 y 1 g/l agua. Las variables evaluadas fueron: altura de plántula, clorofila, peso fresco de raíces, peso seco de raíces y volumen de raíces. Se observó un efecto sinérgico del compost con el extracto de canela al observar que el mayor número de hoja, altura de plántulas, diámetro de tallo, volumen de raíces, peso seco de raíces, peso fresco de raíces, ancho y largo de hoja, se obtuvo cuando se combinó el uso de compost con extracto de canela concentraciones de 0.1, 0.5 y 1.0 g/litro de agua, producto de que el compost ofrece mejores condiciones a las plántulas para una mayor retención de humedad y circulación de aire, así como el aporte de macro y micro nutrientes, así como el aporte de sustancia promotora de crecimiento por parte del extracto de canela por lo que se recomienda el uso de los mismos para favorecer el crecimiento vegetal de plántulas de tabaco
